Egis Group

Egis Group is a French-based international engineering, consulting, and infrastructure services company. It operates across various sectors, including transportation (rail, road, airports), water, environment, energy, urban development, and building construction. Egis is present globally, with a strong footprint in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East (Egypt, Qatar, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and UAE).

Egis has faced scrutiny and controversy, particularly regarding its involvement in infrastructure projects in the West Bank. In 2014, the company faced criticism and calls for divestment due to its role in planning Israeli settlements, which are illegal under international law. Egis Group and all its subsidiaries and brands are targets for boycotts.

Isreal and Apartheid

Egis Group is listed in the UN Database of businesses profiting from illegal Israeli settlements. This database, published in February 2020, resulted from an independent investigation into how these settlements violate Palestinian rights in occupied territories, including East Jerusalem, and their effects on the civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights of the Palestinian people.

By continuing to operate in occupied Palestinian territories, Egis Group is legitimizing illegal occupation and profiting from human rights violations, including the displacement and exploitation of Palestinian resources. They have undermined peace efforts, ignoring the UN report for years, choosing profits over principles, Contributing to discrimination, supporting a system of inequality, and eroding Palestinian rights. Their operations contribute to the systematic denial of Palestinian civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights.
